Mat-Su Holiday Marketplace

The Mat-Su Holiday Marketplace is a one-stop holiday shopping extravaganza for Wasilla and the Mat-Su Valley. This event takes place at the Menard Sports Center (44 Mile Parks Highway) and gives the area an opportunity to shop for unique and one-of-a-kind gifts right in their neighborhood without that long commute to Anchorage. There is a $5 admission charge; kids ages 12 and under are free, and Sunday is free for military personnel with ID or anyone who brings two cans of food to a local food bank.

Artists and craftsmen will fill over 100 mini specialty shops with literally thousands of holiday gift ideas. Jewelry, furs, original artwork, fleece, pottery, etched glassware… You’ll find unique items from all around the state. No need to waste a tank of gas looking for the perfect gift! This year’s early date gives the public a jump on holiday shopping and you, the vendor, an opportunity to market your goods to a wide cross-section of this community. The Facts

When and Where is it taking place?

It’s taking place at the Curtis Menard Memorial Sports Center in Wasilla located one block north of Spenard Builders at 44 mile parks Highway. The facility is a 102,000 square foot building that has four primary activity centers. The Marketplace will take place on the 20,450 sq ft indoor artificial turf soccer field.

What’s the cost for the public?

There is a $5 admission charge; kids ages 12 and under are free, and Sunday is free for military personnel with ID or anyone who brings two cans of food to a local food bank.

How do we get the word out?

$6,000 in advertising will be spent at the Mat-Su Holiday Marketplace in newspapers, on the radio, and on social media.  In addition, there will be media co-sponsors to the event that will donate ad space and raise our advertising budget.

Move-in:

Fri., November 7 – 10am to 8pm
Sat., November 8 – 8am to 10am

Show Dates & Hours:

Sat., November 8 – 10am to 5pm
Sun., November 9 – 11am to 5pm

Move-out:

Sun., November 9 – 5pm to 10pm

All displays must stay in place until 5pm and move-out must be completed by 10pm.

Exhibit Space:

10’x10′ $400, spaces 1 – 72
10’x8′ $350 spaces 73 – 120
Plus Wasilla City sales tax (all vendors must have a business license or special event permit with the City of Wasilla).

Booth Space Rental Includes:

Pipe & drape partitions and electrical outlet.  Additional items may be purchased from the event decoration service.

Application Requirements:

We will send you a space confirmation and an invoice. Early registration requires $50 down to confirm participation. 50% payment will be due August 15th with the remaining balance in full October 1. Late registrants (after Oct 1) must pay in full at time of registration. PLEASE READ our New Exhibitor Contract before sending payment.
