A Woman's Affair

A Woman’s Affair, sponsored by Borealis Med Spa, is a popular Fairbanks event celebrating women-owned and women-focused businesses. Attendees can explore a wide range of experiences—from learning about health and wellness, shopping for the latest styles, sampling tasty treats, picking up beauty tips, to discovering fresh home décor ideas—all in one place. While the event is designed with women in mind, it is open and welcoming to everyone. Co-sponsored by Lotto Alaska and the Alaska Salmon Bake.

In 2026, the event featured more than 150 businesses and organizations and drew over 3,500 attendees. Visitors loved the welcoming atmosphere and the chance to gather helpful information, support local nonprofits, and enjoy a unique shopping experience.

FRIDAY NIGHT SIP & SHOP

Friday evening opens with a Sip & Shop event and like the rest of the weekend, it is a ton of fun! The ticket cost is $20 and includes a drink ticket (alcoholic or non-alcoholic “mocktail” options available), the widest selection of shopping, great Friday night-only door prizes, and a weekend pass to A Woman’s Affair (a $10 value). Hors d’oeuvres and additional drinks are available for purchase.  There are bars located around the arena so you can sip as you shop.  It’s a perfect girls’ night out and a great place to run into old friends and make new ones!  Minors are welcome at the Sip & Shop with a parent or legal guardian and ages 13 and over must purchase a ticket.  Tickets will be available for purchase at the door, no need to purchase in advance.

When and Where is it taking place?

The event takes place at the Carlson Center which is the interior’s premier location for trade shows. 43,000 sq. ft. of available space laid out in single 10×10 spaces and multi spaces.

What’s the cost for the public?

Friday tickets cost $20 and include a drink ticket and weekend pass.  Saturday and Sunday admission is $5 for adults, children 12 and under are free, and Sunday is free to Military or anyone who brings two cans of food for the Fairbanks Food Bank!

If you have business that would be a good fit, we’d love to have you in our show! A Woman’s Affair is your chance to market your business or agency to a large cross-section of our community in a single weekend.

How do we get the word out?

$7,000 will be spent on advertising A Woman’s Affair on social media, on the radio, in the newspaper, and on the street. In addition, there will be media co-sponsors to the event that will raise our advertising budget to nearly $10,000.

Move-in:

Fri., April 2 – 8am to 5pm

Show Dates & Hours:

Fri., April 2 – 6pm to 9pm
Sat., April 3 – 10am to 5pm
Sun., April 4 – 11am to 5pm

Move-out:

Sun., April 4 – 5pm to 10pm

All displays must stay in place until 5pm and move-out must be completed by 10pm.

Exhibit Space:

10’x10′ = $425
10’x10′ Non-profit booth space = $350

Booth Space Rental Includes:

Pipe & drape partitions and a 110 electrical outlet. Tables and chairs are available at the arena (first come, first served) or you are welcome to bring your own.

Application Requirements:

Once you have registered, we will send you a space confirmation and an invoice. Early registration requires $50 down to confirm participation. 50% payment will be due January 15th with balance in full March 1. Late registrants (after Mar 1) must pay in full at time of registration. PLEASE READ our New Exhibitor Contract before sending payment.
