A Woman’s Affair, sponsored by Borealis Med Spa, is a highly anticipated event and a bold representation of the quality women-owned and women-oriented businesses in Fairbanks. This is a place to discuss important health issues, get tips for managing finances, shop the latest fashions, enjoy a tasty treat, learn new beauty tips and tricks, pick up home decorating ideas, or discover a new hobby all in one location.

The 2024 event was a ton of fun, with over 160 different businesses and agencies and a public attendance of nearly 3,600. The public loved the “feel” of the show and enjoyed the opportunity to gather educational information, support local nonprofits, and shop.

Friday Night Sip & Shop

Friday evening opens with a Sip & Shop sponsored by Robinson & Ward P.C. Certified Public Accountants. Like the rest of the weekend, the event is a ton of fun! The ticket cost is $20 and includes a drink ticket (alcoholic or non-alcoholic “mocktail” options available), great Friday night-only door prizes, a weekend pass to A Woman’s Affair (a $10 value), and a goodie bag upon entry (contents vary). Hors d’oeuvres and additional drinks are available for purchase.

Please note that we have changed things up for this event this year! In the past, it has been a wine tasting with food included. We have listened to feedback, and after some forced changes due to updated liquor laws, we took the opportunity to improve the event as a whole. We are no longer focusing mostly on wine; we reduced ticket pricing, and now you have the choice to purchase food and a few options to choose from. The goodie bags are also a fun addition with vendor specials inside!

This is a 21-and-over event. Children are welcome only if accompanied by a legal parent or guardian.

Saturday and Sunday admission is $5 for adults, children 12 and under are free, and Sunday is free to anyone who brings two cans of food for the Fairbanks Food Bank!

If you have a woman-owned or woman-oriented business, we’d love to have you on our show! A Woman’s Affair is your chance to market your business or agency to a large cross-section of our community in a single weekend.

When and Where Is It Taking Place?

The event takes place at the Carlson Center which is the Interior’s premier location for trade shows. 43,000 sq. ft. of available space laid out in single 10X10 spaces and multi spaces. $7,000 will be spent on advertising A Woman’s Affair. In addition, there will be media co-sponsors to the event that will raise our advertising budget to well over $10,000.

Move-In

April 4, Fri. – 8 am to 5 pm

Show Dates and Hours

April 4, Fri. – 6 pm to 9 pm
April 5, Sat. – 10 am to 5 pm
April 6, Sun. – 11 am to 5 pm

Move-Out

April 6, Sun. – 5 pm to 10 pm
All displays must stay in place until 5 pm, and move-out must be completed by 10 pm.

10’X10′ Nonprofit booth space – $350

Booth Space Rental Includes

Pipe and drape partitions and a 110 electrical outlet. Tables and chairs are available at the arena (first come, first served), or you are welcome to bring your own.

Application Requirements

We will send you a space confirmation and an invoice. Early registration requires a $50 down to confirm participation. The 50% payment will be due January 15, with the remaining balance due in full on March 1. Late registrants (after March 1) must pay in full at time of registration. PLEASE READ our new Exhibitor Contract before sending payment.
